What Does It Mean to be Outdoorsy?

For years, the industry has narrowly defined and measured what it means to be an outdoor participant. The Outdoor Foundation’s annual report on outdoor activities, for example, counts skiing, climbing and kayaking, but doesn’t consider sports like basketball.
