Outside Better
KEEN believes that outside is better than inside. It’s where we walk, run, dance, work, sleep and eat. From backyard camping to rainy day dog walks, spending time outside is what makes us happy.

Meet KEEN’s Iconic Sandal: The Newport
Can a sandal protect your toes?
In 2003, KEEN answered by creating the Newport, the original hybrid sandal: the support and protection of a rugged shoe combined with the freedom and comfort of a sandal. Not much has changed with their OG adventure sandal. Just like not a lot has changed with feet. You still get wiggle room for toes, quick-dry webbing, sure-footed traction, 10-point bungee fit and that iconic toe bumper.
Outside Forever
KEEN’s goal is to leave the planet better than they found it.
There are hundreds of choices that go into making a shoe. KEEN thinks each one is a chance to lighten their environmental impact. From recycled aluminum eyelets or webbing from recycled plastic bottles to building their own factories in Oregon, Dominican Republic and Thailand, they’ve been on a detox journey to eliminate everything that shouldn’t end up in their products.
Hike Happy
Why is KEEN.BELLOWS FLEX better than no flex?
KEEN created their built-in flex to make hiking take less energy, so you can stay out there longer. They’ve been making boots for a long time, and they noticed that boots typically crack and fail at the same place — right were your foot bends. They added a bellows design to flex easier and last longer.
Why People Love Their KEENs
It’s simple. KEEN shoes make their feet happy.
KEEN obsesses about how their sandals, sneakers and boots fit. They even have their own kinesiologist who tests and tweaks them to get the fit just right. They design every shoe with a secure heel fit and plenty of room for toes to spread out. Then they fine-tune the arch support and cushioning so you stay happy throughout your adventures. There’s a lot to think about when designing and making shoes. Feet come first.
