Evelyn Spence is a Seattle-based freelance writer whose work has appeared in Bicycling, Sunset, Backpacker, The Voice, Gear Junkie, Ski, Alaska Airlines Beyond, the Red Bulletin and many others. When she’s OOO, you can find her sleeping in a tent, sliding on every iteration of ski, riding her bike, or wrangling her young kids to do the same. REI member since 2000.
