Jose Gonzalez is an REI Fitness Ambassador and the San Diego Market Manager for REI Outdoor Programs and Outreach.  Jose was born and raised in Puerto Rico where he grew up surfing, sailing, free diving, fishing and paddling. Prior to REI, Jose worked for Outward Bound for 12 years, teaching sea kayaking and sailing expeditions in Maine, Florida and Massachusetts and taught at various Colleges in the USA. Jose lives in San Diego with his wife and two young sons. REI Member since 1994.
