Also known as the “Green Chicano” and found outdoors with his huaraches, José is the founder of Latino Outdoors, senior advisor at Brown Environmentalist and partner at The Avarna Group. Carrying his cultura on the trail, he is an artist, conservationist, speaker and trainer on the intersection of culture, identity and the outdoors. You can also find him online @JoseBilingue. He is still stoked to have met President Obama at the Oval Office to celebrate national monuments. REI member since 2014.
