Weekend Project – National Parks Celebration

The national parks are one of the most precious treasures we have the privilege to experience. For some, the parks bring back fond childhood memories of family camping trips, first hikes and views that will never be forgotten. This year, the National Park Service is turning 100 and it’s time to celebrate!

To do that, we challenged our Instagram community to share their favorite national park experiences. We’re excited to present a few of our favorites from the community. Thanks to everyone who participated. We would also like to thank all those who are part of the National Park Service for their efforts to maintain the places we all love to recreate. Be sure to get out there and #FindYourPark!

“My first time in Zion will forever be engraved into my memory as one of my absolute favorite National Park experiences. Something about standing in between a hallway of canyon walls that reach up to 2,400 feet on each side of you doesn’t just make you feel tiny, it sort of takes your breath away.” – Photo by Amber (Instagram’s  @ambernicolle__) at Zion National Park.

“I traveled to Death Valley for the Superbloom, but was just as awed by its stony, sand-swept beauty as by the rare blooms. Driving through its alien landscape, blaring my favorite tunes, is one of my favorite memories in nature. This image’s haunting perfection still makes me smile from ear to ear.” – Photo by Kristina B. (Instagram’s @mindfulexplorer) at Death Valley National Park.

“My first time at Second Beach in Olympic National Park was like something I’d expect in a dream. From beach combing, to the enigmatic nature of the mist and rocky scenery, and the sound of waves crashing against the rocks as I fell into the best tent camping slumber I’ve ever experienced.” – Photo by Cas L. “This was our very first morning in the backcountry of a National Park, and it will not easily be beaten.” – Photo by Jonathan H. (Instagram’s @jonathanhubin) at Glacier National Park.
